Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

This is such an amazing story! spent the better part of 2 nights catching up LOL

So this was way back in March of last year (2013)... post 1000 something of over 6000! I've been reading since around 10am and its now 5:30 pm... still a LONG way to go! Like that chicken math, I've been pulled in! Great adventure to this point OZ... tempted to jump to the end and find out what's happenin' in the present. I hope and trust that all has worked out more or less according to your master plan. Like a good book, I'll just have to wait it out and finish reading the story :) It's a great "plot," and even better cast of "characters!" Kudos for all that you've accomplished to this point, and it's great to "meet" and come to "know" all these other BYC'ers. What a great group! I spent a couple of months deployed to the PI when I was active duty Navy. Loved the place and the people. Have always thought about going back to the south pacific for another visit. Maybe some day.

I am glad to see there are some brave souls still staying at the beginning. I am going to have to go back and copy/paste it so I can edited the story into a ebook. I have had many requests to publish this.

This Tuesday may be a great place to end part one with the departure of AnnaLou and Bernie as full timers

Until it needs fixed or serviced.......

LOL! My husband gets me when the tractor or atv need serviced. He will do the lawn mower himself. Not entirely sure what the difference is other than he has been changing the oil in lawn mowers for years, the rest is fairly new. I'm more mechanically inclined than he is.

I have one lament regarding power tools: They are all sized for the big, burly he-man with some serious muscle. Power tools go a long way toward leveling the playing field, so women can get serious about building, and repairing stuff... But... there's still a disadvantage here. Male muscle mass already has the edge, but when you add the issue that a lot of women have... being vertically challenged... now, that just adds insult to injury. I'm 5' 1 and 1/2" tall... on a tall day, and the most despicable tool for me to use is a weed wacker. I'd even rather play with a chain saw than a weed wacker. Other woman's lament... pull cords to start those small engines. Why do they have to make them so ****** long????
