Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

Our next batch of pig semen was sent to the wrong island.

It has been pretty smooth for a while.

Hopefully it will get to us tonight. We will then use the bus company to get it to kabankalan and dominic can pick it up from there.

400

I can taste them from here
those new england whites are getting rather large

we are trading off 20 of the smaller buff cockerels to a lady with lots of pasture

for a year old goat who has had his manhood removed

we also have a second meat goat lined up for 50 bucks

the lady is over run with goats so she is selling us one cheap

Piglett and Oz, the typhoon in the Philippines has apparently reached the news threshold for our papers too, the images look rough. Hopefully your families are safe, they write of at least 370 000 people being evacuated.

The eye of last years super typhoon yolanda passed between piglett's island and ours. This one was well north. The death toll from todays typhoon will be in the twenties to thirties because of population density in the path of the storm.

It is fast moving so it won't cause as much floodijng. The rivers around manila are akeady lowering. There will be another 15-20 named storms before typhoon season is over.

The Philippines is only second to Japan for the number of tropical storms that hit it each year.

After bollocking out my semen supplier for sending to the wrong place, we have come to a suitable agreement that may still get some of the girls pregnant this cycle.
