Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

The countdown is continues.

The ten day weather forecast for the high desert region of socal is stating highs in the mid 90s which is as good as I may hope for. Its way better than the mid 110s.

Hopefuly I can get a few eggs to hatch from the next run.

I am still looking for SLW but may have some Delawares. New Hampshires are a no-go.

Good luck with the weather and hatching!

On the adoption front, Mrs Oz is on her way to Manila on an airbus A320 as i type.

Back in April we were given the decision with finality from the courts approving the adoptions. That sounds pretty final right.

So the documents given to us by the court failed to change the childrens original names to the names given by us. Then the documents came back with incorrect spelling of my last name - they spanishized and Italian name. Four months later we are told everything is complete.

Today Mrs Oz will submit to the original local civic registries the documents for the amendment of birth certificates. Best guess is 10 weeks before we can then go to the National Statistics office and apply for copies of their birth certificates. It will then be a month to get them Filipino Passports and aprox 6 months to get them US green cards.

With a bit of luck, Antonia will start Kindergrten school in the USA this time next year.
