Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

we just arrived in tiling.

from accounts it looks like we had a small twister pass through as well. the damage is to intense for a cat 1 typhoon.

the fence around veggie patch was ripped out and several of the neighbors nipa bungalows disappeared.

there are coconuts and branches everywhere.

our roofs are all in in tact and boundary fence is standing solid

we just have a lot of clean up

the free range guinea project seems to be working. after 6 weeks we still have the 7 birds we let loose. it's nice to see them in the yard

.

jun and Rona were supposed to work out the month but ambushed us an hour after we got here with a lame excuse to have to leave today.

we told them fine but to clean their house and return all household items. it took five attempts to get everything. .

it was a good feeling to see them leave.

The new couple move in Saturday and start officially on Monday.

Tell us more about Dodong and Lillian. How did you find them? Where/what did they come from? Do they have small children? Family nearby? What agreements do you have with them (I know you have told us the agreement before, but maybe it's tweaked a bit for this couple? It all fascinates me, surely others are interested, as well.

lol.

OK. Dodong and Lillian

they are both from Cauayan., our local municipality and are currently living in the poblacion or town center.

They are both high school graduates. Lillian appears a little more English proficient but that are both shy so they were quite intimidated during their interview.

Dodong has coconut tree climbing skills and carpentry experience and currently is working on a farm in the mountains.

Lillian says she can cook a little.

They have 4 kids from 6 weeks to 6 years. the oldest lives with Lillian's mother.

We spent most of the time during the interview taking then the I importance odd consistency and trust building.

They are both really shy but I have a good feeling about them.
