Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

Quote:
Every 2 cents goes towards a buck Once upon a time I produced calendars of Lebanon and sold them to businesses in Detroit - long story - but I learnt a lot about printing from that venture. I would tweak it for T shirts most definitley go with just b&w. Color Tarp printing in the Phils is dirt cheap.

I like it, but I would offer that it may be tricky or expensive to print (i.e. shirts or labels)

I really do like it, but having been through having shirts and stickers made myself, single or two colour images are most merchandise friendly. Black on white, or reversed is most basic, or the same but added red on the Oz roo would still be easy. I guess it depends if you just want a sign out the front or more signage t-shirts and so on.

Just my 2 cents.

If you think about it it is three colors Black and white and red. I have seen silkscreen stations with up to six separate screens.

Very nice but don't the chickens need to more prominant in the picture?

They seem to have got a bit lost...

I wouldn't change the chickens. I would move the one under the palm to the other island.......in the open area under the banner. I would also make the plane completely red instead of white so the chicken pilot is more visible. I would also lose the white on the palms, i don't think any extra detail is needed, you can tell there are palm trees just by the silhouette. Just my opinion.

Deb you do very very nice work.

LOL.... the chickens are actually about twice as big as they were before with a bit more detail. I thought this was for his sign in the Philippines so I bumped up the resolution so the color separation would be cleaner for the silk screen process. I didn't realize this was for a bumper sticker.... LOL. The silhouette background tells the back story... The white banner and already existing logo he had for Getting the flock out of here have the same color to tie them together. The white banner with black printing bring the Name recognition part out to the forefront easy to read in any light.

I think you are right about the palm trees. As art I was hoping the white would tie in with the plane and banner. Its either not enough to matter or like you say too busy. Compositionally the three chickens with rooster looking across to the Golf bag. The triangle goes up from the chickens to the plane and from the plane to the golf bag. Thats how we humans perceive things at a glance.
