I am told its a beautiful Saturday in the Philippines today.

Sunshine and a nice onshore breeze. High of 84 expected.

Its also a busy day.

We are playing musical coops.

We have a good supply of BBS Orps hatched or hatching. The same goes with mutts, white leghorns and eggs from blue egg laying mutts.

I had all of them pulled and put in a large general coop.

I have a Breda Fowl trio that will go in one coop.

That gives us 3 open coops.

Bernie is converting the breezeway between two sets of coops into a basic coop for the guineas.

Then we will have four...

That should buy time till the pigs get their new home and I can repurpose 3 pig pens

Our other issue is that we have 8 pink baskets that hold 15-18 eggs that fit in the hatcher but have 250+ eggs all hatching together in 8 days

Mate- you can never have enough chook houses. I have just finished chook house number 16.

Another busy week at CocoBeach Farm.

The gardens are doing well.

The local tomatoes have begun to flower.

The experimental half rows of Kale, Collards and Romaine Lettuce are at the 1st leaf stage with the Swiss Chard just sprouting.

Sunday last week saw the sowing of corn and baby bush lima beans into rows.

The nursery has several varieties of tomatoes sprouting along with Anaheim peppers.

All the imported tree seedlings are doing well.

Aljay has mixed the first 12-15 cubic feet of compost, combining saw dust with animal manures.

The goal will be to end up with four compost piles that can help us add around a cubic yard of compost a month to our gardens.

We have planted Marigolds Asters and Zinnias.

The Dahlia bulbs, along with Cannas and Callas are all breaking through.

In the nexrt couple of weeks we are getting a delivery of 8 cubic meters of 8-14" river rock to begin shaping our gardenss

Two years from now, CocoBeach farm will not be recognizable.
If Bernie and the Mrs are there it should be recognizable eh? Just saying, ya-know

I wish I could find that metal your using cheap nothing cheap anymore, I have a CL auto search notifications for some, I never get any messages !
Second hand corrugated iron is very cheap and plentiful around here- just about every building is made out of it.
You don't seem to use it so much in the US perhaps because of your cold winters?
I had a new roof put on my house a couple of months ago, so I had a whole house roof load of tin to build chook houses out of.
