canna are remarkable, do you have beetles that devour the leaves like our japs? not sure how they do long term? I will assume they will need dug up and split annually? Here we have to dig them, store and then replant.

The dahlia will be fantastic, I thought I seen dahs on your images before? At the country club I always had issues with powdery mildew, I had such a bad time of them one year I never ordered again. Will you have issues there or will the salt in the air prevent this?

Below images were a large bed of each side of the main stairs at the country club, I had to pull the dals and replace them with salvia (reds) I was not happy having to replace them after having everything in place, its not easy to work around other plants that young, poor plants didnt even get to grow yet! But I didnt catch them in time to spray before they looked horrible, and at that place anything not so nice had to go Anyways, this is why I love seeing wife's images of her gardens, it was a big part of my life at one point, so keep them coming please!

I love the manicured gardens....one day

I am not sure how the Dahlias will go but I really lovee the flowers so I will see how it goes.

California NPIP has a back yard breeder program. When they first came out with it a couple of years ago it was very affordable. That was before I moved out of the state. The time to do it is early in the year when your number of adult birds is as low as it can be as they don't require testing of started birds under a certain age (I don't remember the cut off) but check it out. I hope it is still going.

Sounds like things are working out OK, Oz. Hatches are really improving. Love that Andulusian roo. We have a structure to rework to make a coop /nest boxes-the next step is getting something that we can use for the outside run. My hope is at least 10'x20' w/ a ht. of 6', but it may be something less than that. Materials are sure cheaper in the PI! I hope to be able to get some chickens after my trip to visit my sister later this month.
