I like DH already. Thanks for the tip - I'll check out Ben's diary also. And, I MUST blame someone else for the Silkie eggs! To take personal responsibility would be to admit that I just couldn't help myself! What I didn't say is that I have another bid in on another batch of Silkie eggs AND more Barred Holland eggs... sigh. Oh well, I haven't hatched chicks in a year - been focusing on quail lately. Those little buggers taste GOOD and sooo easy to process.
Can't wait for pictures! No worries about me ever posting cat pics...cats creep me out. Nothing against any cat lovers!! But no promises that I won't post a grandbaby pic every now and then ... they have me wrapped around their fingers! They love coming to "the farm" and helping out. I swear they break more eggs than they ever get to the house - but in the whole grand scheme of things - who cares! I can get a new egg every day, but can never replace a grandchild's joy when they find an egg.
and p.s. I'm not a nurse - but DH is!
There are not many of us Grandfather age nurses of the male category.
I have been known to low bid on two like auctions only to win both.
Bens is truly a great read - Highs and lows.
Sally Sunshines is also great as a diary for the first few hundred pages then it becomes a great discussion thread on all things incubating
