Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

I contacted Philippine airlines today and managed to get a ticket change from the 27th until the 30th.

This will give me one last opportunity to add a project to the trip. Today I bought 750sq feet of roofing to redo the garage with the same white PVC on the house. The roof out there is crumbling. I don't think it will last to the end of the NE Monsoon.

I will be up at 530am to unload the roof and get the guys started.

the new garage roof is underway.

I had the construction guys organize lumber yesterday. we had a massive pile of lumber all piled on a couple of pallets under the eave of the piggery.

we added a few extra supports and put all the smaller dimension lumber in the ceiling then built a set of heavy duty shelves for the bigger stuff. what a difference. not only is it clean and tidy, now we can readily see what we have.

Bernie is building shelves in the egg house and Dodong is working on his vegetable garden fence.

its tidy, organize and catalog day.

Today we got it done!

The shelves were built in the egg house. We now have more floor space to fit brooders.

The wiring is complete in the garage so no more voltage drops.

I underestimated the amount of roofing material needed so 85% of the garage roof is complete. Still pretty good.

And we decided to go to Kabankalan for dinner!!

So here are a few photos
