@CanuckBock
pictures have always been part of our reports.
Analou was savvy with a PC so she kept logs electronically
Lillian is less skilled
The following is the piglet care flow sheet
I have others for egg counts, hatch logs, medication administration, feed inventory, feed batch mix logs and many more
I enter everything into a Microsoft Access database I designed and keep very good records
I get pics of everything
When a med is given. I want to see the vial
...
I am used to running hospital departments with 120 employees and 14 million dollar budgets
Running a farm in the Philippines has some similiarities but many many differences
Photos of the medicines used is a great idea indeed!
Ha ha ha...I am betting the running of Cocobeach is way more a labour of love...than hospital administration, eh!

It is always intriguing to see how we humans apply what we consider "work" skills/abilities and weave those into the FUN parts of our lives such as animal husbandry.
I have only twice in my years here, had to leave the place in the hands of someone else (my son while Rick and I made a trip to the Border to pick up birds and once to a poultry show). I would worry I would offend my "workers" with my intensive instructions and worrisome attitude--I think I would come off as "overbearing" but I guess my concern would be creatures ending up dead because I failed them and the tenders (by maybe not be clear enough). I remember putting notes all over the place for my son to follow...he just laughed (Mom being MOM) and said it was helpful.
