how much for a ten week pullet in US $
i get $15 each for my ten week old buff orpington pullets

i feel OZ could charge more than he does in the Philippines

as there are almost no sources over there for the breeds he has

however it looks to me like he has priced his birds to sell not to keep them LOL

after all he can always hatch out more

my wife did some butt trimming today on our BBS & Jubilee roosters

maybe we can now get eggs that are not always clear from these coops

But piglett, I thought clear eggs were good eating eggs.
My Grandpa was always saying stuff something like 'd******clear eggs might as well eat them'.

Pricing is a tough thing to do.

A local frankenchicken day old sell for about 50 cents if you buy from a breeder or about $1 if you buy from an AgriVet store.

I could never price like that. Its a different chicken for different uses. The guy selling his frankenbirds is going to be lucky to get $1.80 / kilo for his birds at market (Less than $4 per bird)

Roosters used for the national past time fetch anywhere from $20 up to $2000.

A skim through the online adds for pets will show dogs selling for $800 and bunnies selling from $5 - $60.

People who understand the birds and can afford them buy.

My job is to educate the market.

My darling son is a little special (and I say that with all the love of a mother, he's got me wrapped around his pinky). He eats anything and everything. We've gone through several phone chargers, sippy cups last about a month, his bed has bite marks all across, pencils disappear, toys lose arms/heads/wheels.. I have to hide the toilet plunger, he carries it around like a throphy and puts it on his face... He can be found in the kitchen licking the washer at times. He devours books. Literally. You know, I am surprised he has not pulled an Ozzy Osbourne on the chicks yet, but then again, I don't let him touch those.
