Our birds have traveled far and wide

I noticed Mindanao....have never been there but feel like I know a lot about it from reading a LOT of WWII history....the gorilla fighters who carried on the war after McA left. Lots of very rich history from that area.

During the Marcos era, government sponsored Christian immigrants from the northern islands and the peripheralization of indiginous rural Muslims brought about the very sad situation going on in south western Mindanao. Hopefully the peace accords will get back on track.

What is the farthest your birds have traveled,Oz?

its only 450 miles to the tip of Luzon so its not tht far. The longest distance is to cagayan de oro in Mindanao because the birds fly to manila then back over our heads.

goodness no. There is a ban of all birds from Asia to USA because of bird flu

Not to mention the cost of such an endeavour. Ever seen the prices green fire farms charges? They charge those for a reason. Importing eggs into the US is hard, importing live birds is near impossible.

Getting things out of the US is much easier than getting them in.
