Getting the flock out of here - a diary of a crazy chicken man

Wow I am 40 posts behind. I had to go off air for 36 hours

I will catch up

Pig 1 lost her piglets - which I was expecting from before we attempted indcuing her.

We keep moving forward.

Pig 6 looks good for tormorrow or the day after.

Chicks are hatching.

Stuff is getting done.

Sorry about that, Oz... Seems like it's been harder for you to get piglets than to get imported chicks to hatch... :/

Onward and forward! GO PIG 6!!!

Yes I am excited to see their eggs.
Out of 10 EEs I think I only have 3 pullets. lol
how will you decide who becomes adobo?

or will you keep the boys in their own coop?

another thought is sell off some of the extra boys

& use the money to buy more birds

I need to stay away more often!

@perchie.girl she was to be sold regardless of her outcome.

I have her daughter that will replace her. Her daughter (pig 17) is 220lbs at 150 days. She will be bred in around 8-10 weeks. The sire of 17 is a nucleus class boar. She will be inseminated with another boar of similar quality and the best of those gilts will be my multipliers to market breeding stock to locals at the per kilo price to make decent breeding stock available at a decent price. A long process to change pig dynamics in Southern negros
