Oz, I really like that setup. Mine is a block of ice at the moment. Or it was yesterday at least. I'm trying to wake it up again now that the -25C weather has gone.

its amazing to watch it transform into that dark, rich compost from rice husks and pig poop

It really is. If I can just get the compost started again it should cook quite quickly and make that lovely black stuff too. It's loaded with poop, kitchen scraps and straw.

Regardless of whom you're asking, the answer is no. I do it on such a small scale and Oz's soil is in such a need of enriching that neither of us produces an excess.

absolutely. I need it all but each of those bays is worth over $100 if bagged up and sold

Well I just found this thread and was reading through the first 20 pages and had to come to the end to see if you're still there and still writing. I don't think I could make it through all the pages to catch up. Did you get your adoption through yet and are you homesteading there now?
