GFCI required?

I don't know what to do now,I hate to risk it but I really need to hatch these eggs ! :(
 
I say out it on a power strip and leave it at that unless you plan on pouring water all over the socket you should be fine with that.
 
Just don't drop the incubator in the bathtub while plugged in.
 
I plugged it into a normal wall plug in,should be fine as long as wires are kept dry right?

Also,would the humidity that comes past the wires on to the windows affect the wiring/cause shock? May seem dumb but I have no idea about electrical things .
 
Regardless of all that. If your house is 40 years old and the circut board hasnt been looked at. You really should have it changed over to a modern board with the more sensitive trips for each circut within your house.

Its the first thing i do when we get a new (old) house. Fix the board so i dont accidently kill myself.

Fuses (what you probabily have now) can kill you before the fuse burns and stops the power flowing.

Spend a small amount of money to make your home safe please.
