hi group,i have 2 year old peacocks,which,from pics to leggs farms,thought they were-a indian blue and a spaulding.
but now,after doing some internet searches!!!
i cannot post pics,but
my,so called reg,indian blue===
he has the reg,blue neck,but it ends at his breast,then it turns to a black and white mottled pattern.
his tail feathers,have 1 or 2 reg eyes,but the extreme tail feathers are a white and tan?
is he a reg IB ?
the other,i was told,was a spaulding,but from web pics,see ,that a spaulding,has a pictular look about them?
mine does not.
he has all the charecteristcs,of the IB,but has really dark neck feathers,really dark green,almost black
his nec colors go all the way down to his body,he has mottled shoulders,so is not a BS,but all other sins point to a BS
dark flight feathers,dark neck,going to the breast.
i know it is hard to state without pics,but can anyone help?
i can take reg pics,but will need to send them via reg mail
if someone willhel,by supplying a reg address,THIS would be sooooo appreciated!!

Sent you a PM. They are 1 year old and there are 2 of them, correct? Not 2 years old. If I recall you got yours the same time I hatched Osiris and Blu last year.

Does the first look something like this guy:

If so that's a yearling blackshoulder.

The other one may just be a regular india blue by the sound of it. So far Blu's neck is mostly green and only shows blue in the right sunlight. It's hard to say "really dark green" objectively, since your really dark green is probably different than other peoples' really dark green etc. It may be a spalding (spalding just means it has java green blood) but if the blood is weak (generations removed) or the phenotype is weak (meaning it doesn't SHOW much green), then you could have a bird with java green blood (technically a spalding) that doesn't look like it.
