I am brand new to all of this, but have been reading for over a year. My new babies have reached day 3. Thank you for this group. I'm editing this post to put in a proper place... first time posting and I believe I messed up. why does it say "Hatching" under my username? Did I click on that forum?

The word under you username is called the title. On this site, you can get points for posting, starting threads, getting and receiving reactions, etc. Right now yours is on "Hatching". As you earn more points your title will change to "In the Brooder", "Chirping", and so on. If you have a PFM you can change what the title says to anything you want. You can read more about it in the Thread 'BYC Trophies Points - Get A Trophy Easy Peasy!'.
