I work in the brewery part of a brewpup. The resteraunt part has a full bar, as well as the 11 beers we make, on tap. Anyway, we had a long time regular customer/friend die in a terrible vehicle accident several months ago. Since his death (and not before), the hot water at the glass washing sink comes on randomly. I had heard about this going on, but today, while I was cleaning the bar lines, the water came on full blast. We aren't open yet, and the boss is decorating for Valentine's day, so there were a couple other people in the room, but no one anywhere near the sink, which was 10 feet behind me. I said, out loud, "The freakin' water just came on!"
. My boss said, "Isn't that weird? It's Mike". The water in the mens' room has also been reported running (starts while someone is in the stall, but no one else in the restroom).
So, what do you think? Could it be a weird water pressure thing? Others have reported it coming on even after being sure to turn the faucet off tight.
