Giant egg and tiny egg

My Dominicker laid this huge egg and the same day one of my Barred Rocks ( I think) laid this mini egg. This egg is as big as a turkey egg, the other as big as a robin egg. You can't see it but, they both lay speckled eggs. What gives? These are a few photos of my normal eggs, to show you some scale.

I dont have an answer for you either, but wow those colored eggs are so beautiful. Are those all pink eggs?

We've had that happen too - we've gotten a few really huge ones, and some really tiny ones. I think it's nothing to worry about. I think they just have "off" days.

We've gotten a couple of huge eggs like this before, around 3 inches long, and both were double yolkers. yum yum
