Giant Homers fly as well as racing homers

Unless they are very different from the birds that I know, I don't think so. Most have been bred for show and are heavier and bulkier than racing birds. Many have been crossed with Modenas to achieve this blocky body type.

I just got 2 giant homers the other day. The kid I bought them from said they fly just as well at a distance as a racing homer. Is this true?

They won't fly near as well.A very good racing homer that is in top condition, can fly 500-600 miles in a day.

Perhaps when flying around the loft.

I think anything over a few miles would be risky...
