I placed a giant rooster with a family, but they're having the same problem I'm having. The hens are just getting feather-bare. I don't want either one of these guys to get eaten, or put to fighting... They're really sweet roosters. I'm trying to just place new families as roosters are born and sizing up my hens that I keep. But in the meantime, if there's a good home with large hens who wants a rooster in the Albuquerque area, please let me know. And I'll want to see your hens, I'm serious about good homes only.
Thanks...

Maybe someone with a large flock could take him and it would not be as hard on the hens if he has more companions.

several people make and sell hen saddles to protect the hens from residual Rooster damage. Apparently they work well. Visit the buy-sell-trade forums on BYC, and you should find them under "Everything else for sale."

Thanks, everyone. I don't remember to go on here often enough. I'll check on all these things.
