Gigantic baby chicken?

I got my first baby chicks from a hatchery two weeks ago. They all appeared to be about the same size when they arrived, but one of them has gotten enormous. It is literally 2.5 to 3 times bigger than any of the others--bigger feet, bigger head, everything--but it also looks "fat." It is supposed to be a California White and it looks like the other chicks, but huge. Any idea what's going on?

Sounds like the hatchery might have mixed up the chicks and given you a cornish cross by mistake. You might contact them and see if they will give you credit on your next order, as cornish crosses are usually cheaper than other varieties.
