"Gigantor egg"!!! Who thinks it will hatch...?

My neighbor asked me to hatch some eggs for him and I thought he had a look in his eye...

Well sure enough one of the eggs is HUGE...and a very weird shape...like two large ends stuck together...

My question is do weird shaped eggs stand a chance? Seems like most of the eggs he gave me are a little odd looking. His flock is healthy and have been laying all winter...some are barred rocks and some are cute looking bantam types

While it is not recommended to try to hatch extra large or strange shaped egg the choice is of course your and I suppose there are those of differing opinions. I have no doubt there are those who have defied the odds. If you want to give it a try thats your choice. One poster said they hatched a double yolker.
I suppose while the chick may be bigger to start it may not result in a bigger adult chicken.
If you do give it a try you have to keep us posted. Ok?

I just cracked a gigantor egg today that turned out to be a double yolker. Unlike most of my other double yolkers, this ones yolks were conjoined. I thought to myself that I was glad that I didn't attempt to hatch that one because I might have ended up with siamese twin chickens!

I've read that it's not a good idea to hatch gigantic eggs even if they're not double yolkers because the chick doesn't necessarily grow bigger just because it's in a big egg and the odds of it drowning are high. BUT I've seen people here pull it off.
