Hi Y’all I’m a new Chicken Mom. I’ve had my girlies for about a year now. I was curious as to what causes one of my leghorns too lay a ginormous egg every now and again?
 
Personally I have a skinny little Leghorn hen that just lays huge eggs?? All her life!
So I'm not sure about every now and then, probably normal egg fluctuations, but my girl seems to be fine! As long as she isn't being injured by abnormal sizes, your hen should be A-okay. :)
