Looks like a Barred Rock to me, I have one BR hen, most reliable layer I have an
d never seems to want to set.

Ugh.. I thought so. Permit only allows for hens. Hubby trying to decide what rub he will use now once he gets a little bigger. Lol. Actually at the local feed store the lady that owns it said to bring him in and she will trade for one of her hens.

Thank you all! Such great help. Which means my girls are Dominique too. Sadly he will be moving to Georgia in trade for a hen. My husband and I wanted to raise him for meat but with the noise he is making at 630 on a Sunday morning I don't think I want to chance the neighbors complaining. I'm watching 2 of the "red pulets" now. They are younger and 2 are starting to grow combs. Ugh.
