girls not laying

Oh so sorry to hear that, before my 5 girls we had 4 girl they was free range in day and locked up at night they layed 3 to 4 eggs a day i was great but unfortunately they got killed :( my son cryed so we got him the 5 and from same breeder, they only come out of there run and roam when were home now

you should be feeding them a starter/grower complete feed until they lay the first egg.
Then switch to a layer feed.
(the article has very good info in it!)

What is thebest way of food to feed them to keep them happy and laying
I think you have to give them a good quality laying pellet that contains animal protein, and plenty of green veg or forage. Not too much on the high carb stuff like corn and no processed human food. Like I said, I'm a newbie.

Thanks!
I don't give mine scratch. Not even sure what that is. I do scatter their laying pellets sometimes, if they're going to be in the run all day. They seem to find the whole concept of scattered food quite exciting, and there's never a single pellet left when I get home. They have a bowl type arrangement as well. There's usually pellets left in the bowl. Clearly not as exciting.

I am guessing that in the 2 weeks you have had them they are still stressed... I also have never heard of either of those breeds and some breeds only lay seasonally. I would suggest give them time and maybe find someone that could give you insight on the laying patterns of those 2 breeds in particular ... Best of Luck !!!
