Today is day 17 of my first incubation. I was getting everything ready for lockdown. Bumping humidity, weighing eggs, one last rotation, etc and all of a sudden I hear this tiny voice.

The first thing I am thinking is, "Oh NO!"

Could my handling of the eggs possibly have hurt this tiny chick?

What do you mean? Picking them up and turning them etc? As long as you were careful and didn't bump or drop an egg they should be fine. Good luck with your hatch!

Yes. I just turned it. However, I wasn't expecting to hear a peep so I was a little worried I may have disoriented it when I turned the egg.

I may be wrong, but if you hear it peeping, it's internally pipped. No harm done. However, someone with more experience than me might know more as this is my first time hatching as well.
