Hi, I have once again been given birds. Life is just like that I don't know. I don't know their age, person who gave them to me said they should start laying eggs in a few weeks, they're small with no comb and waddle so I dunno if that's true. He says it's because they were raised in a small environment, so what do I know. I think chicken 2 and 3 are the same breed, but I'm not sure.
Any help is appreciated, please and thank you!

Ok, not to be an alarmist, but I'd keep them away from your other chickens if you have any, for at least 30 days.

The seller (giver) telling you they lived in a small space sends up sooo many red flags without know anything else about their living conditions.

Also based on their combs and wattles they're not likely to be laying for at least another month, if at all this year, depending on your climate.

I'm still new, but that's my opinion on the situation.

Oh yeah they're in a separate cage from my other chickens, we know that's a bad idea
I'm not sure about their living conditions but I'm pretty sure he was just giving me an excuse to not say their age (might've forgot or something I dunno, he also tends to give himself more projects than he can handle) cause their combs and waddles like aren't developed at all, so that's what I figured
I'm really just more curious on the breed for future stuff

A Separate cage isn't quarantining, that's for integrating/ socialization. Quarantining is "as far from your other birds as humanly possible".

I just realized I sound like some of the more seasoned chicken keepers that gave me a tongue lashing (or at least that's what it felt like) when I was getting started just a few months ago.

I'd come on to ask a seemingly simple question and get a lecture on proper chicken handling/keeping . . . I'd sort of blow it off, roll my eyes and think simmer down . . . it's not that serious.

It's not meant to be a lecture, we (I) don't want you to make the same mistakes and lose birds over something that could've been avoided.

Yeah I get that, I've certainly had my share of asking a seemingly normal question and getting ridiculed, so it's alright! As long as your intentions were good!

We’ve all been there on the giving and receiving end of unsolicited chicken advice lol. Whatever you do don’t bring up ventilation 😆😆

Sorry you haven’t gotten an answer about the breeds. If you can get individual full-body pictures of each bird that might help. Leg color can help with identification.

You said the "V" word . . . . oh, you done did it now:oops:
