Giving a broody hen chicks

I have a hen who has been "setting" for a couple of weeks, but since I don't have a rooster, I don't have any fertile eggs to give her. I would like to give her some day old chicks to raise. I have heard it is possible if you put them under her at night. Does anyone have any experience with this?

if shes been sitting for that long you can put chicks under her with no problem

Do the switch at night to help her accept them as her own. Good luck
