Giving a Broody Hen Ducklings

The ducklings arrive between Tuesday and Thursday, so I still have some time

Well the good news is that I’ve developed a surefire strategy for breaking broody hens. The bad news is I now have no one to sit on ducklings.

And Lisa Loeb and Lady Gaga both hate me now.

They'll get over it what did you do to break them?

All I did was put them in a brooder with their nests and clutches but they had never been so insulted in their lives.

How long had they been sitting? I usually wait till hatch starts or right before to move mine but they are never out in the open just not in a good place in their coop.

Oh well once they start laying again you can do this all over again. lol

There won’t be a hatch, just an arrival of day old ducklings. But yeah the nesting boxes in the coop just won’t work because they’re too far off the ground for baby ducks to be inside.
