Giving a broody hen newborn chicks?

I've got a hen that has been sitting on eggs for about 27 days. Today, I went to the feed store and got three day old bantam chicks and plan to put them under her tonight. I do have a question though. At night, she doesn't go to sleep like the other chickens do and will still nip and peck at me. Will she notice if I just give her some chicks that they are not hers?

HI,

I have done this several times over the years. I usually slip the chicks in at night, replacing the eggs she has been sitting on. I've yet to have a hen reject the chicks...maybe it's just been good luck on my part.
