giving chicks grit

i have chick grit do you feed them the grit everyday?i recieved 25 chicks on 3/11

give it free choice. You only need it is they are eating vegtables and grass and such.

Your chicks should be eating commercial starter which has grit in it. There is no need for extra right now.

MP, do all the starters have grit in it? Is it mixed in, because I can't see anything that looks like grit in mine. It must have it, though, right?

Some may contain grit, the one I buy doesn't.

Chicks allowed out, eating grass and bugs will need grit. You can get *chick grit* which is smaller than the standard stuff, but if the vast bulk of their diet is starter ration, they will probably find enough small grit in the run.
