Giving Ex-Battery Hens Treats

Hi, we’ve had our ex-battery hens for a week now & they’ll only eat layers mash as that's what they’ve been fed their whole lives (we tried to give them layers pellets on their first day but switched to mash because they weren’t eating it), and we were wondering when it would be okay to give them treats? All 3 are two years old if that’s any help. Thanks!

I would do treats at a moderation. My show birds who don't get lots of treats love apples and celery
