Giving my broody eggs today!

I have set up a small pen in the run, and put a small plastic dog house in it for her to set in. Should I put something over the front of the dog house to keep it darker and help her feel more hidden. I was thinking a small peice of plywood. She is a med. size BO, does 8-10 eggs sound about right?

You haven't moved her yet correct? I wouldn't think the plywood would be necessary, but I would wait a day or so after moving her before giving her the eggs. She's liable to fuss a bit and be restless when you first move her and you don't want eggs to get broken in the process.

Best to move her, give her eggs, etc., at night. Good luck!
