Giving propolis to chickens?

Hi,

Does anyone have advice or experience using propolis to treat sick chickens?

There seems to be plenty of research showing that adding propolis to feed is clearly beneficial to both broilers and layers, but I can't find anything useful online or on the forum about using it as a natural antibiotic and immune system strengthener during illness. Any ideas? Any contraindications?
