I've been wading through comments on this site regarding dosage of safeguard for my flock of 20 chickens and the amount of information is overwhelming...so please forgive me asking again, specifically...

I want to administer liquid Safeguard for goats to my flock altogether in either their feed or their water. What dosage is recommended for each method for my flock of 20 medium size chickens? Anyone?

I don't recommend doing it that way since you have no control of or way to measure how much each bird actually takes in. I always direct dose my birds, it's not that difficult, I do between 24 and 30 birds every three months. It takes me about 30 minutes total, it gets easier with practice. I lock them in the coop the night before, go out early in the morning and take them off the roosts one at a time, dose them orally, and turn them out into the run. When the coop is empty, I'm done. And I know every one got the correct dose.
This link is the only method I know of for mixing it in the feed (you can't mix it in water, it will settle out): https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/safeguard-mash-zero-day-egg-withdrawal.1254653/
This is usually done to avoid egg withdrawl times. Again, you have no way to monitor exactly how much each bird takes in. Some birds if they are actually carrying a parasite load and not feeling well, may not eat well.
