Hey all! I have a question about my new polish hen. I bought her from a 4-H kid at the county fair and brought her home a week and 1/2 ago. She is supposedly 1.5 years old, and looked like she had been hen and roo pecked when i brought her home, particularly her tail. As far as i can tell, she is not molting though.
Since she came home, she's been acting like the typical neurotic polish, running from everything and sticking close to the hen house. BUT, as far as I can tell, she has not laid a single egg, yet she is sitting on the other hens eggs. Is this normal for a stressy/broody(?) polish, bc the other 2 hens I brought home have been laying pretty well. All answers appreciated and thanks in advance!
