I spend all my remaining time outside of work and being a devoted dad and husband to...you guessed it...chickens! I have 64 breeding age chickens and I don't know how many chicks/juvies at the moment, probably another 80 or so. I have Swedish Flower Hens, Silverudd's Blue (a.k.a Isbar), Black Copper Marans, Deathlayers, Malaysian Seramas, Cream Legbar, and a unique Olive Egger Cross (Silverudd's Blue X Black Copper Marans). I found out about BackYardChickens.com through Facebook, and the fact that most any chicken question imaginable links back to this awesome website/forum. I have just gotten into Chicken Photography, and enjoy playing around with my new (to me) nice digital camera. I also fish, garden, and like a good movie. I am a biologist by trade, own goats, ducks, a big fat turkey hen, and love our Great Pyrenees guardian dogs. I am very happy to have joined this group. Thanks to the organizers!

I enjoy taking pictures of my girls also when they cooperate :p 100's of shots to get one good one; :bow gotta love digital cameras and the trash can option!

I am pleased you delurked and hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you include your general location on your profile, this will assist others. Location, climate, season etc can be important factors when members are responding to any questions you may have and vice versa.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

If you would like to share Pictures and Stories of your flock or other critters, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out ;)
