Hello everyone! I’ve just recently joined BYC because of my love for chickens and other outside hobbies:) I am not new to chickens I’ve been raising them since I was 8 which was 7 years ago so I’d say I know my fair share about chickens. I love all breeds and types of chickens especially silkies:) As of now I don’t have any chickens my last flock which had one of my favorite chickens ever, my Silkie rooster which I called cotton ball and his hens were killed about 5 months ago:( But the good news is I’ll be getting some new chicks later this year:) That’s it for now and I hope everyone is staying safe during this horrible time. Welcome to Backyard Chickens. So very sorry your lost your flock. Was it to dogs or other predators? You may want to check out the predator threads, before you get your new chicks to learn ways to safeguard them..

Thank you! Itwasn’t a dog but I’m thinking it may have been a raccoon. I’ll look into those thanks!
