We have about 8 chickens, all hens, but they are mostly pets for my husband and children. I'm bad about the details, but I think we have some speckled sussex, australorps and americanus. And while I am not so great with taking care of the ladies, I do like watching them as I think they are very pretty ... and comical. I am also the designated cook, that is of the eggs, not the chickens ... I can't eat a pet.
