Blooms&Brood
Songster
On most cold winter days, I can't play in the dirt so I spend my time in the shop. The shop is of course where I am brooding my meat bird but I still go out and talk to my lady's! They are quite the conversation piece on their own, but I was thinking they need another waterer. Something easy to move around, maybe something they can enjoy while I am out on the deck; they having their drink while I am having mine!
Which got me thinking... I have an old sun tea jar that needed repair (it leaks, surprising, I know) so I dusted it off and washed it out and decided to do something FUN!
I had an extra poultry water hanging around and this sun tea jar, so I decided to make a chicken waterer and guess what?! It's works!
I attached a few pictures. I used a 3/8" drill bit to enlargen the hole in the spicket and a rubber band off a broccoli bunch in lieu of plumbers tape to fix the thread based leak on the spicket. So far, so good! I tested on my meat birds and they loved it!
