The attacking chicken is my one year old Andalusian rooster. He still attacks; more lately because we haven't been letting them free range after a hawk attack so haven't been interacting with him as much.

Okay. I skim read usually and missed that part. Sorry. He is a very nice Andalusian rooster. I would probably go the extra mile to save him, too.
