Good evening,
I have had 2 wyandotte hens for the last 14 weeks. They were probably 3 or 4 months old when I got them. Earlier this week, one of them started to crow inside the coop. I do have a rooster that crows all day long so I am very familiar with his crow. This was not him. This was more of a mimicked crow. It didn't sound natural. And just today I saw what appeared to be the "hen" doing a short attempt at the rooster dance to my little frizzle. However, I have not seen her try to mount either of the hens. Neither of the wyandottes have given me eggs yet. What has me confused are the hackle and saddle feathers.. Is this a rooster? I've attached some pics. The hen in question is center. Thanks!!
