Forgot my statement. !!
This is Elivis. He(I think) will be approximately 7 weeks old this Friday. I was able to sex my RIR and Deleware easily because I had others to compare them to. Elvis is my only GLW. This picture was taken at 6 weeks and 1 or 2 days old. I can tell you he developed a comb and waddle before even the other breeds that I know are boys. Also I didn't get a picture today but I notice some emerald green coming in around the ends of some of the feather on back and I'm not sure if that means anything.. What do yall thank.

Pics from today u can't really tell I'm this one picture but on the wings toward the back that odd sheen of color is actually a really pretty dark or emerald green.

I zoomed in you can kinda see it here on that feather that overlap wings.

Is the green a rooster thing in this breed or do hens get it too? Or does it mean nothing at all?

Any experience with GLW roosters? Came from Murray McMurray so no special heritage or anything. I have one deleware cockerel, and one RIR cockerel plus Elvis. They each have traits I like and don't. I am going to try and keep 2 of them. The Deleware is nice to everyone and the most curious of me but he thinks my fingers are food and bites hard. Elvis is completely wild and hilarious to watch he likes to run around and give everyone a pop or two on the head as he makes his rounds. He bites my fingers too but instead of continuing to try and eat my hand he typically bites softly once and then realizes my hands not food and stops. And again he does it soft. He also like to roost on me. The RIR completely keeps away from me for the most part, he has never bitten me though and if he ever does peck at my hand its extremely light and gentle. But, I hear production RIR cockerels are notoriously mean so idk what to do. I want to keep Elvis but it is a toss up between Brooster(RIR) and Matty Ice(Deleware). I know one thing though. I want to smack Ice into tomorrow when he bites me. He isn't doing it to be mean but he really does not understand what so ever that it is my hand and not food. He goes after my fingers hard. And today he grabbed a hold of my fresh scab and ripped it wide open.
