Having issues with gnats already. Found a couple of our 1/3 grown Cornish meat chickens dead last evening. That's all I can attribute their death to. Also I had to help a few on their sides this morning, had to help them their feet this morning. what could be causing this to happen?

so you think an insect that typically lives in soil killed your chicken?

I know there's a few types of gnats. But I highly doubt that or we would have an epidemic across the country.

Where are you located?
Gnats can kill chickens but they have to be pretty thick(lots of gnats) to do so.
There are other reasons CX can die.
Knowing more about how old your CX are and how you feed them may offer some clues to cause of death.
