Goat ate some tomato plant :(

I was bringing one of my goats back to her pen after grazing in a field, and she nibbled the top 3 inches of a young tomato plant before I could stop her. I think she got some of the flowers too..............sheesh It's always something Will she be ok? Would charcoal and Baking Soda help? What should I be watching for? Ugh

I personally wouldn't worry. My donkeys routinely eat tomato plants without problems.

Goats can eat tomato plants but don't give them too much. Just a bit at a time. Mine eat them just fine. Mine also like cherry tomatoes.Oct 16, 2012

Wow guys, THANKS! I feel so much better now..............I'll keep an eye on her but hopefully she'll be ok. Her kid has been kind of sick lately so I cannot lose her!

I had my goats get out once and they scalped the garden. Took the tomato plants right down to the ground. Didn't give any of them so much as a tummyache. Gave me a big headache. Almost made me want to look up recipes for goatburgers.
