Goat Breeding age

I brought two female miniature goats (one pygmy and one newby) as babies planning to breed them. However, life has gotten busy and they have just had their third birthday. Is it too late for them to be maidens? What is the oldest you would safely breed a goat for the first time?

Any age is fine as long as they are older than 18 months. I bred a doe for the first time when she was 5 years old, I had just bought her from a lady that was keeping her as a pet. She had triplets and all of them were healthy.
There is a Forum group a lot like this one called "The goat spot" It's just like this group but for goats!
