Noticed my goat bleeding two days ago while he was running around, clean and wrap it daily but big split on heel bulb. It’s not bleeding and he doesn’t apply any pressure to that hoof while he’s walking.
Wondering if there’s anything I can put on there to seal it up?

I’m thinking I need to clean/soak hoof, dry off and maybe apply one of these ?

How is your goat doing?
One of our goats cut the top part of his hoof close to the hairline. With that I just cleaned it with iodine, and kept it wrapped for a few weeks. I would change the bandage every few days or so. But ours hobbled around and wouldn't apply pressure either at first.

6 months later and you would never know he got hurt.

He’s healing up great! I clean and wrap daily, he’s been locked up in a clean dry stall I’m hoping to let him out soon :)
