Goat owners show me what you got!

I'm working on finishing the acre of fence. It will be slowly adding. One day I would like to fencing all 17 1/2 acres but it's going to be tricky because there's a creek that runs through the back of the property. And that's a lot of fence!!! My old property only had 2 1/2 acres but I decided I'd like them to have their own area especially so I could have a garden that doesn't get broken into and I come hang out with them in their spot
During the winter I'll let them hang wherever in the yard while I'm out there because they all pretty much stay wherever I am

And this is autumn. She holds a special place in my heart. Poor girl has had a rough go. She lost her mama less than a week old so she was bottle-fed and didn't take to that real well. Had quite a few health problems when she was really young but she's a trooper. She had to be separated for a while and wasn't sure what to do because the other ones with bully her but as she got older they've accepted her. She does separate herself a little bit from time to time but for the most partshe has fun with the rest. Even when she had the temporarily paralyzed front leg that didn't slow her down one bit she kept up with the others and was happy as could be and I admire that. She'll always be a little small but she's as healthy as they get now
I love the picture of her asleep by the igloo. That was after the Easter egg hunt with the girls which she attended with them the entire way. And she is just the sweetest thing ever

I feel like there were so much smaller last time I saw a picture. I love how well they took to the leash. You can see my daughter trying to harness train autumn in one of the pictures. Didn't work out so well. Every time we put it on the poor girl she just freezes it won't move
They have grown a bit. Your pictures are awesome. Maybe try leash training instead of the harness ? Mine love going for a walk.

Former goat owner. I don't ever want them again because they are so dear and so high maintenance. These were two of the dearest creatures I've ever raised.

I originally got them to help me clear some land and start raising meat goats, but once I realized how much they trusted me, I said, "No way" to slaughtering them. These guys followed me every step of the way when I cleared over 25 acres of overgrowth.

The guy on the left cost me over $1000 due to health issues (ended in heartbreak). The girl on the right went to live with a friend after his death, had sex with a Boer stud and gave birth to a gorgeous pinto girl.

Miss you guys...
