What great looking goats! I had a nubian boar cross wether that we purchased at out local 4-H/FFA Youth Auction some years back. He was his owners first 4-H and meat project. He was raised as an only goat and he was the best goat ever. We ended up with Chopper as a complete accident. That year the goats went into the sales arena first and not alot of the buyers were there. This poor kid and goat had no one bidding on him after like 5 minuets, so my hubby thought "I'll get the bidding going" and well up went his paddle and down went the "gavel" and well, we owned a goat! Nobody else bid!
So, me being me thought, ok no what am I supposed to do with a goat? Oh! I'll train him to cart. How har can that be? He's a goat. Well. Chopper and I never got anywhere near a cart. Chopper was an awsome pet and he thought her was a dog and infect played with out Aussie. He also thought that he had to come into the house when it rained but no matter how convincing he tried to be I drew the line a goats in the house.
Saddly we lost Chopper to bloat in the worst winter rainstorm I can remember. But I do have a picture of him though....So here is Chopper!
